In a bizarre crossover event that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the adventure will obtain an unique katana alongside numerous items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Update
This release also adds the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma."
